Exhibition Program

The gallery’s varied program is structured to include up to thirty-five exhibitions per year.  Each exhibition typically focuses on two concurrent solo exhibitions, or a thematically curated group show.  Exhibitions are designed to address current or historically-important dialogues within the contemporary art world.  Painting, sculpture, photography, prints and video installation are included in the exhibition schedule with the intention of presenting established and emerging artists who are engaged in a diverse range of art making practices

The lengthy artist’s list reflects a wide range of relationships throughout the gallery’s 34 years in operation—including the names of currently represented artists, and artists that have exhibited or been associated with the gallery. The gallery has long been recognized for its ability to select and exhibit noteworthy artists.  Robischon Gallery has been often credited with premiering important artists and artworks over last three decades in the Mountain States Region.

Occupying nearly 9000 square feet of space, the Robischon Gallery is located one block from Union Station in the historic district of Lower Downtown Denver (LoDo).  The gallery's formal and separate exhibition spaces offer the ability to present concurrent solo exhibitions of its international, national and local roster of artists.

We are located on the same block as the famed “Red House”, the home of the collection of Jan Perry Mayer and Frederick R. Mayer, important collectors and philanthropists.  Additionally, we are neighbors to other commercial galleries located in Lower Downtown.

The Museum of Contemporary Art Denver (303.298.7554), built by acclaimed architect David Adjaye, is a walkable 6 blocks from the gallery and the Denver Art Museum, with landmark buildings by Gio Ponti and Daniel Libeskind, is just 2 miles away.  The DAM is situated in a cultural campus that includes the Denver Public Library, designed by Michael Graves, the Colorado Historical Museum, and the Clifford Still Museum.  The Denver Center for the Perfrming Arts Complex and the Dikeou Collection are also located nearby.

Luxury hotels, unique shopping and numerous restaurants can be found near the gallery, along with the Coors Field baseball stadium.  Transportation to and from Denver International Airport (DIA) is less than a 30 minute drive from LoDo (approximately 22 miles)
