“Manuel Neri: The Human Figure in Plaster and on Paper” is currently on view at the Yale University Art Gallery (New Haven, CT) - March 2 through July 8, 2018.

Chiseled, marked and painted in the artist’s signature abstract approach, Neri’s affinity toward plaster and its surface quality, critically informs his life-size bronze figures and sculptural fragments. Throughout his work, Neri has maintained the freedom of abstraction alongside an abiding sculptural discourse with the distilled female figure - both for its potentiality for full creative expression, as well as through the identifiable form, as a representative for all human life.
