Robischon artist Chi Peng is currently on view as part of the Orange County Museum of Art's, "My Generation: Young Chinese Artists." The show features artists born after 1976 - the end of the Cultural Revolution. Many of these artists were born under the One-Child policy and grew up increasingly exposed to globalized technologies and art movements. Peng's work is deeply personal, and contrasts with the often ironic or sardonic humor of his predecessors - qualities plausibly deniable to the authorities. Attempting to chart the depth of this shift in approach, "My Generation: Young Chinese Artists" will be on view at OCMA through October 11th, 2015.
